100 degrees Yip. E.

Joke of the Week: "Why do seaguls live by the sea? Cause if they lived by the bay they'd be bagels!"
Quote of the Week: For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart? -Mosiah 5:13
Querido Familia y Amigos:
Hola! First, l must offer a formal congratulations to my friends Danelle, Kaylea, Bronwyn and Abbey on their mission calls and their birthdays! :) l LOVE THEM!
Well this week has been great! We taught a TON of lessons this week. And we had two investigators at church! Yolanda was one. She is a sweet old lady from Monclova. She doesn't want to get baptized though.... just come to church. Next is Melanie! We were teaching her husband too..... but he just got sent to prison for the next decade, so that won't work out. But Melanie is preparing to be baptized. She needs the gospel in her life. REALLY needs it.
Next item. l was reading the Ensign/Liahona and there is a picture of people from Grantsville in it! The conference edition page 43. Chelsie Dalton and Alex Child..... haha it weirded me out.
We taught Sunday school again yesterday! And primary was great as always. The kids here always shout out "Maria y Jesus!" for EVERY answer. It cracks me up.
So one problem that we have with teaching hispanics the first vision is that they all have visions too... and as soon as we mention that Joseph was visited by a heavenly being they spout off on all of THEIR visions and we can hardly teach at all! l'm so glad l'm Spanish speaking :)
We've been struggling to be obedient lately.... our President has asked us to not eat with other missionaries at member's homes. But the sneaky Hermanas here keep collaborating with our meal calenders.... We call the sisters and they promise us that no missionaries will be eating with us, but when we show up there's missionaries there! Hahaha but other than that we're striving to be 100% obedient :)
We had the opportunity to go on exchanges with a girl named Karla in our ward. She asked us all about being missionaries and at the end, she told us that she wants to serve a mission! And she started her papers! lt's so cool to see that others can tell how happy we are. Cause en verdad... we're super happy :) Well that's all for now.... l can't think of much else to say. Have a great week! Summer is starting up and we are going to break 100 degrees this week! Yip.E.

  1. Glad to know that she is very happy

  2. It sounds so hot, but it was 100 degrees here today, too! Of course I am driving around in an airconditioned car!
