Cherish every moment

Joke of the Week: Why do seaguls live by the sea? Cause if they lived by the bay they'd be bagels!!!
Quote of the Week: "O Lord thou art our father and we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we are all the work of thy hand." -Isaias 64:8
Alrighty, speaking of the Ellis family, Grandma told me that they're all moving around! That's crazy!
l did get the package! We loved the "Belly Flops" lt went perfectly with our letter from President Ames this week "lt's Okay to Make Mistakes."
Hna. Lopez and l are SO HAPPY because transfer calls were yesterday mornign and we're both going to serve in "Same, TX (Saw-may)!!!!!!" Haha the silly elders always try to trick us :P But we're very happy we're staying. A few of the young women were praying that we wouldn't be changed.
THe good news of the week, is that during a classic "Guess my first name" game, someone guessed that my name was Sarah!!!!! l have always wanted to be a SArah.
The OTHER good news of the week is that on Sunday, church was SO stinking powerful! The wonderful youth sang "Come Unto Christ," and talked about the importance of their priesthood duties. There wasn't a dry eye in the room (not even our investigators ;)) as one of them spoke about how the young men brought him back to church. Man it was powerful. The Spirit healed many of the broken hearts que habia in the branch.
lt freaks me out a LOT that my travel plans are real :P l got my "trunky call" a few weeks ago to confirm everything.... WEIRD. And are you watching my BYU account?
All of these scary thoughts about going home have left one thought running through my head, "Cherish every moment." Time is passing way to quickly.
l am seriously considering joining the army. Just so y'all know :)
l hope Aida has a wonderful birthday this week! l love her and all of you! l hope that your Memorial Day was.... memorable? l am a little jealous that y'all have mountains :P
Dad was in Mexico???? l WANT TO GO SOOO BAD!!! haha it kills me to think about how much l complained about going while l was growing up. Such a dorkus l was.
Well, hasta ver. Les quiero muchisimo!

Mountains to Climb

Quote of the Week: "Most of us listen to the buffetings of Satan well before we listen to the whisperings of the Father." Pte. Ames
Joke of the Week: "Have you heard that joke about the african american and a mexican? Once you've heard Juan, you've heard Jamal." -Small child in the branch
Hahaha Levi parallel parking is probably the best thing l've seen all day!
So l forgot if l asked y'all, but did you get the boxes of stuff and clothes that l sent home? l hope they made it safe!
Also, l was able to get onto my BYU account, and l adjusted a few of the classes. l also put myself on a waiting list for a spanish class (l have to be enrolled in one in order to qualify to take the 16 credit test), so if you (mom) could check it so that if the waiting list one is available, that you drop the back up one l registered for?
Haha l hope that makes sense
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO DALLIN AND KATELYN!!!!! lt seems like just yesterday l was in the MTC talking to her about the bridal shower.... Hijole!
Speaking of showers, SHANNON POWELL IS HAVING A BABY???
Last week was filled with some crazy drama in the little branch. Saturday evening we were about to explode from devastation, investigators were dropping us, and all of the missionaryish bad things that could happen were happening.
We were about to go to the baptism of two of the english sisters in the zone, and we had the random thought that we should get some flowers to take to the girl getting baptzied. The girl loved them, and was grateful. But the real miracle was when the sisters came up to us and said that ALL day they'd  been trying to find time to get flowers for her, but they couldn't find any! l've never seen flowers at a baptism before, but l think that l'm going to do it every time now :) lt was amazing how the Lord can answer the prayers of other people through us!
During that same baptism, they showed a video "Moutains to Climb" from Mormon Messages. lt was exactly what we needed. The most beautiful feeling of peace came over Hna. Lopez and l and we started crying like babies. We knew that no matter what crazy things were happening in the branch, we were going to be okay. Our purpose never changes as missionaries.
Whew... well l think that's about all l have to say this week!
Hasta ver

Be a little bolder :)

Joke of the Week: What side of the cat has the most fur? The outside. -Elder Haufano
Quote of the Week: Sus pies huelen peor que nachos!!!!
So obviously l forgot some things yesterday when l got to talk to all of you :) Firstly, did y'all get the boxes of clothes l mailed home?
Nextly, l met a member a few weeks ago who is from Saltillo who knows las familias Martilet and Lugo! Se llama la hermana Torres. And she said that the Lugos all sing like little angelitos :) (Tali's cousins... two of Medardo's sisters' families live in Saltillo, Mexico).
Our mission president's wife gave us an awesome training at our last zone conference. And at the end, she gave us a little rock to put in our pockets, so that when we feel it, it reminds us that we need to be "a little boulder" hahahahaha
lt's so true! All of you folks should be a little bolder when sharing the gospel.
The youth in our little branch are on FIRE! They're awesome muchachos.
President Ames has given us some revelation and guidance for how we teach and do things that is straight from God. Hna. Lopez and l were talking about how we actually feel more powerful now! He's teaching us how to make the tools we need to build this ship. We are going to  baptize 820 people this year as a mission. :)
Andale pues, me alegro de que hayan estado muy bien. Si hay algo que puedo hacer por ustedes, por favor dejenme saber. Y colorin colorado, este cuento se ha acabado.

Pictures --  we didn't get to SKYPE with Tali - -but we did get to talk to her on the phone... so these are the pictures of the week :)

Keep planting seeds!

Joke of the Week:
Quote of the Week: "This gives me power. This gives me energy! Elders and sisters, l feel like l'm going to explode........ Elders and sisters, if l explode, just know that l love you."  -President Ames
Firstly, l left my sticky note with all of the things l had to tell you at the apartment :P But it's definitely been a crazy week!
l'm so grateful to be here in Killeen! l guess l haven't told y'all much about it. We cover the whole stinking stake, and about 98.9 percent of the members/people here are in the military and work in Fort Hood. Our little branch just had some changes in teh presidency cause the first counselor is going to be deployed to Egypt for a year.
l'm learning all sorts of army lingo! My love and respect for those who serve our country has grown a TON!. A lady in our ward is about to have a baby, and her husband just received the news that he is going to Pakistan, and won't see the baby. There's a lot of sacrifice involved.
This branch was formed about 1.5 years ago. Actually, it's super cool to look back in the records and see that some elders l served with were partially responsible for the growth that made it into a branch!
Hna. Lopez and l get along veeeerry well :) Spanish is not a problem with her cause she's from Reynosa Tamaulipas. Right now her family is living in Athens, TX.
This week we were talking to a sweet investigator who is probably my cousin :) She was married for 50 years, when her husband left her.... l've never seen someone so heartbroken. The only thing she has now is God. Hopefully we can get her a ride to church, and a really big Book of Mormon that she can read!
Also l would like to say to all of you member-missionaries out there: KEEP PLANTING SEEDS!!!! We just met a man who had talked with Mormons before, but hadn't ever really listened to them. He said "l think l knew that y'all understood religion stuff better, but my heart was NOT ready to learn more. But now, l know that God is preparing me to listen and learn about you." HOW COOL IS THAT?? Haha we've only taught him once, but l'm soooo grateful for whoever shared their testimony with him before. Whoever it was probably thought that it had gone to waste!
Hahaha so yesterday this kind of crazy old lady from Panama invited us in to tell us that we REAALLLLY need to study about our religion so they don't try to marry us off in polygamy. "There's this place called Utah where they have tons of wives! Don't everrrr go there!"
Hijole, well l want to send a few pictures and the time is going away. But l hope that you all have an awesome CINCO DE MAYO!!!! Or Revenge of the Fifth :)
Adios amigos!
-Hna. GOmez

p.s. l shall be calling around 6 on Sunday night! And now we have an hour to talk. And.... l hope that's alright!

Cooking in a member's home last P-day :)
Driving up to HURST for the crazy cool SPanish missinoary meeting that we had! Not going to lie, we were soooo excited to go back up to the north part of the mission with all of our spanish missionary friends! lt was like Christmas!!!!
This was the first spanish missionary meeting the mission has had EVER! HIstory was made :)
We bought some really expensive food from an investigator today.... and then they said they don't wanna learn more :(
